Project Scope: On Behalf of the Cayman Islands Government (CIG), the Ministry of Finance & Economic Development invites qualified service providers to submit proposals in response to Request for Proposals #CIG-CPO-2015-001. The successful proponent will be expected to provide a full range of electronic reverse auction services including data analysis, market research, vendor engagement and training, and turnkey auction software and event support.


 


Description of Services: The Cayman Islands Government (CIG) is planning to conduct a pilot project to test the efficacy of incorporating an electronic reverse auction methodology into its strategic procurement program.


 


It is seeking to enter into a contract with a qualified and experienced full-support electronic reverse auction service provider to conduct up to a maximum of three (3) auction events in differing commodity groups as determined jointly by the successful proponent and the CIG.


 


The successful proponent will be required to provide the CIG with a range of services as well as a hosted, web based, software system to enable the electronic auction events.


 


 


Definitions:


Project Scope – the scope of work being offered for bid


Bid Invitation Date – the date in which the RFP documents will be available.


Bid Due Date – the date the bid price and other required documentation will be due.

Eligibility: Interested firms will need to meet the following eligibility criteria in order to be considered and evaluated.



  • Bidders must submit proof of relevant prior experience in providing full-support electronic reverse auction services to public sector clients including governments in other jurisdictions

  • Bidders, Companies or individuals must comply with all applicable local laws including business registrations, pensions and any other regulations.
